New SMST davit systems on board of Loodswezen pilot vessel

Last week, the two new davit systems installed by SMST on board the Pollux, one of the pilot vessels of Nederlands Loodswezen B.V., have been extensively tested near the coast of Vlieland and Vlissingen. Because of the calm weather conditions during the first two-day sea trial, additional tests were carried out when the weather luckily turned rough. Also in these conditions the davit systems with wave compensation and high speed hoisting provide safe and smooth deployment and recovery of the Fast Launch Craft.

With this job finished, both parties are looking forward upgrading the Polaris, the third and last Loodswezen pilot vessel, with the SMST davit systems.
